A Requiem for the Flowers Blooming in the Field, The Battle to Destroy the Baby Magnum II (野に咲く花に鎮魂の歌を, ベイビーマグナム破壊戦 II,Nonisakuhana ni Chinkon no Uta o, Beibī Magunamu Hakai-sen II) is the twenty-fourth and final episode of the Heavy Object anime, first aired on March 26th 2016 and set to be included in the eighth Blu-Ray and DVD release.[1]
Quenser and Heivia are caught in the Baby Magnum's bombardment and injured, the former seriously. After being treated by Information Alliance medics, Quenser informs "Oh ho ho" and Lendy about the Mirror of Truth. With no way to change the attack command and continual interference from the Object, Sladder and Perfect Browsing determine that the only way is to destroy the Baby Magnum and Milinda with it, but Quenser resolves to find a way to save Milinda regardless. Remembering the gift he gave Milinda, he comes up with a plan and asks "Oh ho ho" to help him.
With the Legitimacy Kingdom council deciding to abandon the Baby Magnum and the other world powers about to make a move, Quenser and Heivia put a rescue plan into operation with help from the 37th and the Gatling 033. With the duo's vehicle acting as a decoy, one of the Baby Magnum's spare cannons is used to fire a shell containing CVD materials. On being shot down, the scattered CVD materials, registered as non-hazardous, are ingested into the gun barrels, and undergo a chemical reaction as the cannons are fired, creating additional reflecting mirrors inside the barrel. The cannons explode with the next shot and the damage causes Milinda to be ejected from the Object.
